Maxflux SAF-2 is suitable for single and multi-layer welding of various structural & pressure vessel steels like; IS:2062, Gr.516 Gr.60, ASTM A285 Gr.C, ASTM A-36, BS:1501-151 Gr.400, machine-building and fabrication of earthmoving equipment, crane girders, ships, locomotives, etc.

Medium tensile structural steels can be welded using Maxflux SAF-2, an acidic flux of the alumina-rutile type. The bead finish is glossy and smooth, and the slag is readily removed. The quality of the weld deposit is radiographic. A variety of structural and pressure vessel steels, including IS:2062, Gr.516 Gr.60, ASTM A285 Gr.C, ASTM A-36, BS:1501-151 Gr.400, and machine building and fabrication of earthmoving equipment, crane girders, ships, locomotives, etc., can be single or multilayered welded using Maxflux SAF-2.
