Maxflux SAF-4 (UV) is an agglomerated fluoride basic flux that can be used to weld low alloy and medium to high strength steels. This flux produces a weld with a very low diffusible hydrogen concentration, great sub-zero toughness, and strong crack resistance. The flux offers good slag detachability and consistent fusing in fillet and butt welds. It is possible to use the flux for multi-pass welding. The wdeposits have less than 4 millilitres of diffusible hydrogen per 100 grammes of weld metal and are of radiographic quality.

For single and multilayer welding of a variety of structural, boiler, pressure vessel, petrochemical, refinery, shipping, quenched and tempered, heat-resistant, nuclear, and other fabrication industries, Maxflux SAF-4 (UV) is appropriate.
