About Hardfacing Electrodes
SMA is a simple coated electrode that produces a strong austenitic manganese steel weld metal when it operates on AC/DC(+). The deposit work provides outstanding resistance to impact wear and hardens while in use. Common uses include the surfacing of components that are exposed to severe impact and wear, such as rail crossings, bucket teeth and lips, and crusher jaws.
