For welding mild steel, low carbon steel, and other structural steels with tensile strengths up to 540 MPa, AUTOTHERME-1 is a mild steel GMAW wire coated with copper. When welding circumstances are ideal, the wire burns with a smooth arc and little spatter. Low and medium carbon steels, such as SA-36, A/B/C/D grades of SA-283, A/B/C grades of SA-285, A/B grades of SA-414, etc., can be welded with it both once and several times.
