AWS: SFA 5.14 ERNiCrCoMo-1
Under ideal welding conditions, FW 1225, a solid wire for GTAW that comes in a bright finish, provides a steady arc, smooth flow, and no spatter. It produces welds of radiographic quality. It is employed to surface steel with Ni-Cr-Co-Mo weld metal and to weld Ni-Chromium-Cobalt-Molybdenum alloys to steel and to themselves. Additionally, it is employed in applications that call for the highest strength and resistance to oxidation above 820oC to 1150oC, particularly when welding on nickel-iron-chromium alloy base metal. especially advised for reformer tubes, welding furnace heating elements, etc.
