Maxflux SAF-4 is a basic agglomerated flux that performs exceptionally well, has excellent sub-zero impact characteristics, and is extremely resistant to cracking. It has a neutral manganese and silicon pick-up. Slag can be removed with ease, and the bead finish is glossy and smooth. The weld metals diffusible hydrogen content is minimal.

Boilers, pressure vessels, and other fabrications using medium tensile and low alloy steel can be welded both single and multiple layers using the Maxflux SAF-4.
