Autotherme Cr-Mo 9 is a bright-finished, copper-coated solid wire for GMAW. The wire produces a steady arc, produces smooth welds, and deposits welds of radiographic quality. It is intended for steels that are resistant to creep. Usually in the shape of pipe or tubing, it is used to weld base metal with comparable compositions. Welding A387 Grade 9 plate, A335 P9 pipe, A213 T9 tubes, and other materials are common uses.
