About Arc Welding Electrode

  • A flexible electrode that creates a weld metal with remarkable resistance to wear from mild impact, erosion, and combined abrasion.
  • A gentle, steady arc that is simple to hit and re-hit.
  • A high rate of weld metal is deposited by the electrode with minimal slag.
  • High yields are obtained from thick single pass deposits.

Weld Metal Hardness : 58-66 RC

Welding Techniques :

Re-dry the electrodes for one hour before usage, or at 200-250oC, for optimal results. Before more deposition, remove all worn and damaged metal. Make use of the stringer bead and short arc techniques. Typically, one pass over the erlay is advised. Use a cushion layer of LoTherme-602 f steels, LoTherme457 f steels, or 14% manganese steels if additional build-up is needed.
